Fall 2017 Regional Meetings

At this year’s regional meetings, we were glad to see many of our usual attendees, as well as a good showing of government representatives, including some new groundwater protection officers Emily Elsliger (South Coast Region), Harm Demon (South Area) regional hydrogeologist John Pogson (South Area), and water authorizations officers David Robinson (West Coast Region) and Kim Magill-Hofmann (South Area).   Presentations were given on a variety of topics, including insurance, hydraulic connection and environmental flow needs, case studies in the Okanagan Similkameen and Fraser Valley regions, the new GWELLS database, Island Health activities, and a province-wide update on changes under the Water Sustainability Act.
