Driller’s & Pump Installer’s Courses

Cost: $700+GST (Early Bird Rate)

These courses prepare attendees for their Skilled Trades BC certification exam. Certification exams will be available on-site this year. Further details to be released shortly.

Course: Water Rights Basics for Groundwater Users in BC

Cost: $200
Date: Thursday, April 10, 2025 (9:00am to 3:00pm)
Instructor: Mike Wei

Join instructor Mike Wei as he explains the governing principles related to diversion and use of (ground)water in the Water Sustainability Act (WSA), the rights and responsibilities of licensees, the common impacts from diverting and using groundwater in BC, and the data that can be collected to assess impact of pumping on nearby wells (well interference), sustainability of the aquifer (mining), stream depletion, and salt water intrusion.

• Move-In: Thursday April 10, 2025 (1:00pm to 4:30pm) OR Friday April 11, 2025 (7:00am to 7:30am)
• Display: Thursday April 10, 2025 (4:30pm to 8:00pm), Friday April 11, 2025 (7:30am to 5:00pm), Saturday April 12, 2025 (8:00am to 12:00pm)
• Move-Out: Saturday April 12, 2025 (12:00pm to 2:00pm)

Cancellation Policy

Prior to and including March 14, 2025, any cancellation will be assessed a $200 fee. There will be no refunds for cancelled registrations after March 14, 2025 unless The British Columbia Ground Water Association is forced to alter max capacity or cancel event. The British Columbia Ground Water Association reserves the right to cancel the event on short notice due to causes beyond its control. If uncontrollable events occur, The British Columbia Ground Water Association reserves the right to cancel the event on short notice and will return exhibitor monies paid.
