To understand the stewardship of groundwater, a knowledge of the
mechanics of water travelling through, on and under the surface is
needed. Aquifers
are a key to that understanding.
Aquifers are soil or rock formations containing enough
saturated permeable material to produce significant amounts of
water to wells and springs.
