BCGWA GWUDI Guidelines Seminar
Registration for the BCGWA GWUDI workshop must be done through the BCGWA 2010 Convention Registration Form.

This workshop will introduce the new GWUDI Guideline which will be adopted and implemented by the provincial Health Authorities. As well, this event will:
• Provide a common understanding of the Guidance document
• Discuss how the document will be used and how it was developed
• Examine what other provinces and jurisdictions are doing
• Address hydrogeological considerations and treatment options
• Discuss the implementation and policy associated with the Guideline
There will be an opportunity for participants to break into groups and work through case studies, as well as opportunities for panel discussions where the audience will be able to ask questions and provide feedback to the speakers.

OUTLINE
The Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport has commissioned the development of a Guidance Document for Ground Water Under the Influence of Surface Water (GWUDI). This very successful workshop was initially presented on November 20, 2009 in Richmond by the BCWWA. The BCGWA will present the same workshop in Kelowna as part of their annual Conference and Trade Show in mid March at the Okanagan Grand Resort. The single day program has been developed for; Health Authority staff (Drinking Water and Environmental Health Officers), provincial government regulators, consulting engineers and hydrogeologists, water system operators and others working with community water supply.
