We are currently hiring a Pump Technician /Machinist.
Duties:
• Troubleshoot, inspect and repair centrifugal groundwater, wastewater & process pumps.
• Perform troubleshooting repairs and overhauls on various pump motors and valves.
• Provide service reports.
• Fabricate piping components using steel or stainless steel.
• Setup and operate lathes and milling machines including thread cutting.
• Provide strong leadership in safety, quality control and housekeeping to shop trades people and helpers.
Qualifications:
• IP Red Seal Millwright or an IP Red Seal Machinist with the ability and experience to fill both positions.
• Minimum 2 years experience overhauling and repairing rotating equipment and components. Preference will be given to centrifugal and turbine pump experience.
• Welding/fabricating experience.
• Able to read and understand engineered drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Able to organize time and assets in an ever changing schedule.

ENTRY LEVEL HYDROGEOLOGIST / GEOSCIENTIST - OKANAGAN REGION
Western Water Associates Ltd is seeking a motivated, self-reliant, and detail-oriented entry level Hydrogeologist / Geoscientist to join our Okanagan based water resources consulting team. This position will involve a mix of field and office assignments. Fieldwork will include working on water supply well construction, injection well construction, conducting pumping tests and water quality sampling and the supervision of drilling/testing contractors. This position will also support groundwater modeling, surface water evaluations, report writing, and other hydrogeology related activities. The individual will be responsible for acquiring and managing data in the field, managing and evaluating data in the office, reading technical specifications, and supporting report preparation.
The individual we are looking for must have a minimum BSc-level degree from a recognized University in geology, hydrogeology or an engineering discipline and have 1 to 2 years or more prior experience performing field work related to hydrogeologic evaluations. Additional desired skills include:
1. Self-starter, positive attitude, takes initiative, detail oriented.
2. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
3. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, along with a working knowledge of ArcGIS, Aqtesolv and
other standard hydrogeology software such as Modflow
4. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
5. Able to work in the field in semi-remote locations throughout western and northern Canada.
6. Hold a valid driver’s license.
7. Eligible for registration with APEGBC and/or APEGGA

Qualifications:
