On behalf of the B.C. Ground Water Association, you are invited to attend our upcoming conference and trade show at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, Conference Centre & Casino, 21 Lakeshore Drive W., Penticton, B. C. from March 5th - 6th, 2009 with extra workshops being held on March 3rd – 4th. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 9:00am – 12:00pm.
This convention is the most important annual event for all people working in well drilling and ground water related fields, as well as for groundwater system owners, users and designers. We will once again be providing information and answers on the newly implemented regulations, and insights on regulations yet to come.
This year, five workshops are offered on March 3 and 4: (i) 2-day Pump Course for Level 1 & 2 Pump Installers; (ii) Well Drillers Workshop on March 4; (iii) The Confined Space Entry training course on March 4; (iv) Operating Water Systems Workshop on March 4; and (v) Orientation to CraneSafe Certification Workshop on March 4.
The technical sessions, scheduled for Thursday morning and Friday afternoon, are designed to bring together practitioners, manufacturers, water purveyors, governmental and non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, and researchers. A lot of good and important ground water related work is done in B.C. and nationally. This work pertains to ground water assessment; ground water systems and industry, water governance and management, watershed management, and governmental and non-governmental initiatives to achieve sustainable use of (ground) water resources. These technical sessions provide an excellent opportunity for everybody to meet people, learn about new initiatives, to get informed, and to share viewpoints and ideas.
The Manufacturers and Suppliers Trade Show takes place on Thursday afternoon (March 5) and Friday morning (March 6).
March 5th-6th, 2009 with extra workshops being held on March 3rd-4th.
